When you schedule a consultation with Dr. Heather Stanley-Christian at Unity Maternal Fetal Medicine, you should come prepared to discuss your complete health history. Dr. Stanley-Christian will review your health history with you and provide direction for your next steps. We will take the time to address all questions and concerns by taking a 360-degree assessment of your health, including a comprehensive review of your health history. Then, we’ll craft an individualized care plan to guide you to the best possible outcome. Depending on your family history and your health history, we may recommend screening tests.

Some of the health conditions that screening tests check for include genetic and chromosomal conditions (i.e., cystic fibrosis, heart defects, and sickle cell disease) and congenital disabilities, which cause problems in your baby’s overall health, how the body works, or how the body develops.
